Calling all women and parents of daughters!
I absolutely love hosting film nights about documentaries that inspire women to take ownership of their health. It’s a chance for like minded women, on their own journeys of health to come together in order to share their concerns and receive inspiration to navigate the next steps ahead. This will be the 5th time that I’m running a film night of The Business of Birth Control. I’m excited to see who shows up this time and to delight in the richness of the conversation. The Film Night is happening at the Centre of Complementary Medicine in Petersfield on Thursday, 12 September, 2024 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
Are you taking the pill? Have you suffered any negative side effects from taking the pill? Or has it been a no brainer the whole way through?
If you’ve had some negative side effects from taking the pill are you seeking a non hormonal alternative, but unsure where to find a method that you feel confident using?
Do you have a daughter who is approaching an age where contraception is a hot topic? Are you looking for a safe space to explore your options and to feel confident on guiding her with her choices?
Do you suffer with period pain or menstrual side effects and is the pill being presented to you as the “solution” to all of your problems. Do you know that it doesn’t actually fix these problems? If anything, it puts a big bandage on them to cover them up, only for them to possibly rear their ugly head again during perimenopause and menopause.
The documentary is pretty provocative and after the screening there will be a chance for an open discussion on the topics raised and an opportunity to explore alternative options to the hormonal contraceptive pill. Come join us for a glass of something, some light nibbles and tuck into an enriching conversation.
There are only a few spots left so please do RSVP by email to me if you would like to reserve a seat.
